Location: Pune office only, on-site
Role Type: Internship
Duration: Minimum 6 months
Team: Marketing
Company Overview:
We build AI-powered digital experiences - designed to perform, adapt, and handle complexity.
Some of our work includes modernising UNICEF’s global platforms, rebuilding Stanford's infrastructure, and winning Splash Awards for our work with Diabetes.org.
We’ve also supported legal aid organisations, research institutions, and healthcare platforms dealing with legacy sprawl and fragmented systems, and built AI solutions using our orchestration system, Aeldris.
We take on the kind of problems packaged tools don’t solve - brittle systems, sprawling content, disconnected UX. Problems that require more than a stack and need thinking.
We’re engineers, designers, and product people who care about culture, how things work, and what they solve. Join us https://www.qed42.com/careers
About the role
We're looking for someone who thinks like a marketer first and uses AI as a powerful tool to execute faster.
Here's the reality: AI has changed marketing. Anyone can now use ChatGPT to draft content or create posts. What's rare and valuable is someone who knows what to create, who it's for, and why it matters. Someone who can look at AI-generated content and immediately know if it will work.
This internship is about developing that marketing judgment while learning to use AI tools to multiply business and your impact.
What you will do
You'll work on marketing for QED42, a performance-focused AI-enabled digital experience company for ambitious brands and global organizations.
Your responsibilities will include:
Thinking Like a Marketer
- Learn who our customers are, what problems they face, and what matters to them
- Ask the right questions before creating anything: Who is this for? Why would they care? Where will they see it?
- Understand how your work helps the business (not just creating content for the sake of it)
Content Creation with AI
- Create blog posts, social content, case studies, and campaign materials
- Use AI tools (Aeldris, ChatGPT, Claude, and others) to draft and iterate quickly
- More importantly, apply marketing judgment to everything AI produces
Is this written for the right audience?
Does this address their actual problem?
Will this positioning resonate?
Is this generic or genuinely valuable?
Campaign Execution
- Help plan and execute marketing campaigns across channels
- Track performance and suggest improvements
- Learn what works by watching how audiences respond
Research & Analysis
- Study competitors and industry trends
- Understand where our ideal customers spend their time
- Research topics deeply enough to create credible content
Ownership & Growth
- Over time, take ownership of specific functional areas (like social media, blog content, or customer stories)
- Document what you learn and build processes
- Grow from executing with guidance to planning independently
What Makes This Different
Most marketing internships give you tasks: "Write this post." "Research these keywords." "Schedule this content."
We'll give you problems: "We're launching a new feature for enterprise teams. Who needs to know? How should we talk about it? Where will they see it?"
You'll develop the ability to:
- Think through the marketing strategy (audience, message, channel)
- Use AI to help you research and execute efficiently
- Apply judgment to ensure the output actually works
- Learn from results and improve
By the end, you won't just be someone who can use tools, you'll be someone who can think strategically about marketing problems.
What We're Looking For
Marketing Thinking
This is the most important qualification. When you see a product launch or campaign, do you naturally wonder:
- Who is this really for?
- Why would they care?
- Where would they discover this?
- How could the positioning be stronger?
If you think this way naturally—even without formal experience—you might be right for this role.
Drive and Initiative
- You finish what you start (show us examples)
- You don't wait to be told what to do
- You've built, created, or accomplished things on your own initiative
- You're genuinely interested in marketing, not just looking for "an internship."
Using AI Tools Thoughtfully
- You've used AI tools (like ChatGPT or Claude) and can explain what worked and what didn't
- You know AI helps you work faster, but it can't do your thinking for you
- You can tell when AI gives you generic content that needs improvement
- You're willing to experiment with prompts to get better results
Quick Learner
- You take feedback well and use it to improve
- You pick up new tools and ideas quickly
- You're okay with technical topics (or curious to learn about them)
- You know that skills can be taught, but good judgment comes from practice
Clear Communication
- You write and speak clearly
- You can explain your reasoning
- You ask thoughtful questions
